Manager, Finance at Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC)

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services Directorate, the Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations and ensure sound financial management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development, implementation, and review of financial policies, strategies, guidelines, and procedures
• Ensure financial prudence and discipline in financial accounting, planning, treasury management, and budgetary controls in compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) 2012 and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS)
• Oversee the development and maintenance of internal financial controls, financial and accounting systems in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Oversee revenue and treasury management and reporting
• Spearhead the preparation and submission of financial and management reports in accordance with established guidelines
• Oversee administration of the Corporation's budget in accordance with financial management procedures and guidelines
• Spearhead the preparation of the Corporation's annual budget, Ministerial Public Expenditure Review (MPER), and Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF)
• Oversee tax planning and administration in compliance with relevant laws
• Ensure maintenance of books of accounts, accountable documents, and the Corporation's fixed Asset Register
• Oversee external financial audits
• Spearhead the development and implementation of departmental strategic plans, budgets, performance contracts, and staff performance appraisal
• Ensure compliance with principles of good governance, transparency, accountability, ethics, and integrity
• Manage and develop staff within the department

Required Qualifications

• Minimum fifteen (15) years of cumulative work experience
• At least three (3) years at a management level or in a comparable position
