## Title: Manager, Finance

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, Corporate Services Directorate, the Manager, Finance will lead the financial operations and strategic planning for Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC). This position requires a highly experienced finance professional capable of managing complex financial systems and ensuring organizational financial health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development, implementation, and review of financial policies, strategies, guidelines, and procedures
  • Ensure financial prudence and discipline in financial accounting, planning, treasury management, and budgetary controls in compliance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) 2012 and International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS)
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of internal financial controls and accounting systems in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Oversee revenue and treasury management and reporting
  • Spearhead the preparation and submission of financial and management reports according to established guidelines
  • Oversee administration of the Corporation's budget in accordance with financial management procedures and guidelines
  • Lead the preparation of the Corporation's annual budget, Ministerial Public Expenditure Review (MPER), and Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF)
  • Oversee tax planning and administration in compliance with relevant laws
  • Ensure maintenance of books of accounts, accountable documents, and the Corporation's fixed Asset Register
  • Oversee external financial audits within the Corporation
  • Spearhead the development and implementation of departmental strategic plans, budgets, performance contracts, and staff performance appraisals
  • Ensure compliance with principles of good governance, transparency, accountability, ethics, and integrity
  • Manage and develop staff within the department

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of cumulative work experience
  • At least three (3) years of experience at a management level or in a comparable position
