This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The Machine Operator is responsible for the effective operation of narrow web Flexo/Letterpress equipment to produce and convert self-adhesive material into finished printed products (labels).

Department & Reporting Structure

• Department: Production
• Reports to: Production Supervisor
• Supervises: Assistant Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate narrow web label printing and converting machines according to daily job schedules, delivering high-quality labels within specified timeframes
• Examine job orders to determine production details including quantities, production times, stock specifications, colors, and color sequences
• Ensure manufactured products meet specifications by observing good manufacturing practices
• Reposition printing plates, adjust pressure rolls, and adjust machines to achieve desired print quality using knobs, hand wheels, and hand tools
• Inspect and examine printed products for print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and external defects using specific test methods and equipment
• Select and install printing plates, rollers, screens, dyes, and cylinders in machines according to specifications using hand tools
• Clean and lubricate presses and components using oil, solvents, brushes, and rags
• Maintain a hygienic workplace that meets specified hygiene standards and ensure all health and safety requirements are met
• Effectively communicate relevant information to colleagues and Production Supervisors
• Report defective machines to the production in-charge or production supervisor promptly to facilitate timely maintenance action

Education & Experience Requirements

• Diploma in Printing Field (preferred) or other technical qualification in Mechanical or technical field
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the printing industry
