About the Role

A reputable organization is seeking dedicated individuals for two Legal Officer II positions. This is an entry and training grade position for Bachelor's Degree holders. Officers at this level will work under the supervision of a designated officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake legal research
• Attend court proceedings
• Prepare legal documents including opinions and pleadings
• Ensure proper filing and storage of legal documents in accordance with departmental custodial functions
• Assist in ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
• Assist in compilation of national values and principles of governance reports
• Assist in drafting contracts, leases, and other legal documents
• Enter data and manage cases using the Case Management System

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws Degree from a university recognized in Kenya
• Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Studies from the Council of Legal Education (CLE), or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
• Admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
• Member of the Law Society of Kenya
• Proficiency in computer applications
