## Title: Legal Intern - Justice Systems Interventions
About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and seeking talented individuals to support legal program initiatives focused on justice systems interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in tracking progress of legal program milestones and key performance indicators
- Assist in tracking and measuring developments in law, policy, and procedure that impact program interventions
- Conduct legal research on public justice systems and identify emerging needs and trends requiring policy intervention to protect vulnerable populations from violence
- Assist in conducting case file reviews to identify casework gaps and other significant trends warranting attention
- Analyze government and partner data to identify policy gaps and develop policy responses
- Assist with preparing legal opinions, memos, and briefs on legislative changes and their impact on the public justice system for use in policy reform advocacy
- Support planning, organization, and facilitation of advocacy campaigns, case conferences, partner meetings, workshops, and training sessions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in law
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated abilities in legal drafting and research
- Ability to multi-task and follow through on tasks to completion
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships and work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Training, certification, or demonstrated passion in data, statistics, or a related field
- Demonstrated desire for data-driven interventions
- Experience in legal data analysis
