Lecturer in Robotics and System Automation at United States International University - USIU Africa

About the Position

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The successful candidate will report to the Dean of the School of Science and Technology (SST) and will be expected to teach, conduct research, and engage in service performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach at undergraduate and graduate levels in robotics and system automation
• Support and mentor students in their career endeavors
• Participate in curriculum development activities to ensure that programs are up-to-date and marketable
• Participate in program assessment and reviews
• Supervise students' research (projects, theses, dissertations) at the undergraduate and graduate levels
• Engage in research in your area of expertise
• Engage in service to the University, the profession, and the community
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Educational Qualifications

• An earned PhD or equivalent degree qualification in a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university, registered or registerable with the relevant professional body
• OR a Master's degree in related areas from an accredited university with a minimum of 3 years' experience in teaching and/or industrial experience in the relevant industry
• A minimum of 24 publication points as per the CUE Standards & Guidelines 2014, of which at least 16 should be from refereed scholarly journal papers

Professional Requirements

• Registration for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent doctoral degree qualification
• Registration with the relevant professional body
