Position Overview

Karatina University seeks a qualified Lecturer in German to teach and mentor students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, while contributing to research and community engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses in German at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programmes
• Supervise dissertations and theses at graduate level
• Participate in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate curriculum
• Initiate, promote, and participate in research projects
• Provide professional and community services, and establish linkages and fundraising initiatives
• Perform administrative and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate degree or equivalent from a recognized academic institution
• Registration or qualification for registration with a relevant professional body
• Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

Preferred Qualifications

• Published research and academic publications
