Lecturer (Criminology) at Karatina University

About the Role

We seek a dedicated and experienced educator to join our criminology department as a Lecturer. This is a dynamic position that combines teaching excellence with research leadership and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses in criminology at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programmes
• Supervise dissertations and theses at graduate level
• Participate in the development of undergraduate and postgraduate course curricula
• Initiate, promote, and participate in research projects
• Provide professional and community services and establish linkages for fundraising initiatives
• Perform administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate degree or equivalent from a recognized academic institution
• Registration or qualification for registration with a relevant professional body
• Fulfillment of the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

Preferred Qualifications

• Publication record in peer-reviewed journals and academic outlets
