Position Overview

This is an entry and training grade position for Bachelor's Degree holders in surveying disciplines. Officers at this level work under the guidance and supervision of senior officers, providing essential support across surveying and mapping operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out cadastral, geodetic and mapping surveys
• Conduct topographical surveys
• Undertake preliminary quality control of cadastral, adjudication and general boundary surveys
• Perform computations and adjustments of triangulation and traversing methods
• Extend control points for surveying and mapping
• Prepare budgets for survey tasks
• Supervise survey functions in road construction projects
• Carry out measurement and computations of quantities for road works
• Prepare land acquisition drawings and schedules

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in one of the following disciplines:
  • Land Surveying
  • Geospatial Engineering
  • Geomatic Engineering
  • Geomatic Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems
  • Technology in Survey
• Qualification from a recognized institution
• Proficiency in computer applications
