## Title: Key Accounts Manager – Modern Trade

About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to drive business growth through strategic account management in the modern trade sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to drive long-term business growth
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand business with existing and new clients
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform strategic decisions
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve profitability targets
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, logistics, production, and finance) to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses
  • Ensure excellent customer service and resolve client issues promptly
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors and collections from customers

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of proven experience in key account management, preferably in FMCG or fast-moving products
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Results-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities
  • Available immediately

Preferred Experience

We especially encourage applications from candidates who have managed tier 2 and 3 accounts across Nairobi.
