Mirema School is a Christian educational institution seeking a qualified and motivated Junior School Teacher to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced professional to teach at the Junior school level, delivering high-quality instruction across multiple subject areas to support student success and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Mathematics, Integrated Science, and Pre-Technical Studies in accordance with the national curriculum
• Develop subject-specific schemes of work, lesson plans, and instructional materials to support effective teaching and learning
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse learning styles and academic needs of learners across all three subjects
• Collaborate with fellow subject teachers and the curriculum coordinator to plan and implement interdisciplinary projects and assessments
• Provide clear explanations of concepts, practical demonstrations, and real-life applications—particularly in Pre-Technical and Integrated Science lessons—to enhance learners' understanding and interest

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education, with specialization in related subject areas
• 5 years of relevant teaching experience
• Valid TSC registration number
• Valid certificate of good conduct
