About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of ICT and Mathematics Teacher at All Saints' Cathedral.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach learners in Mathematics and Computer Science-related subjects such as Pre-Technical, Integrated Science, and Business Studies according to the Competency-Based Curriculum
• Prepare and deliver lessons that facilitate active learning and engagement
• Develop instructional materials including syllabi, lesson plans, schemes of work, and tests
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes
• Create a conducive learning environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving
• Incorporate technology into teaching and learning activities
• Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in computer science
• Provide guidance and support to students to develop their computer skills
• Prepare teaching aids and learning materials, applying them in delivering learner-centered lessons
• Serve as a Class Teacher/Class Manager, assuming responsibility for the welfare of class learners and addressing parents' concerns satisfactorily
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and curriculum delivery
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the Principal or delegated authority

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency in computer programming languages such as Python, Java, or HTML
• Familiarity with educational technology tools and software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of the Kenyan education system and curriculum
