ICT Officer II - 2 Posts at Kenya Rural Roads Authority

Position Overview

This is an entry and training grade position for Bachelor's Degree holders in Information and Communication Technology. Officers at this level work under the guidance of a designated Senior Officer and provide essential ICT support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Write and test simple computer programs according to instructions and specifications
• Provide first-line support to staff on systems deployed by the Authority, including networks, ERP systems, and websites
• Manage inventory of ICT assets across regions and provide updated asset records to the Principal ICTO Network and Infrastructure annually by the end of each Financial Year
• Maintain up-to-date equipment registers and issuance records
• Verify, enhance, and test computer programs according to specifications
• Install and configure computer systems
• Repair and maintain ICT equipment and associated peripherals
• Monitor the performance of ICT equipment
• Provide user support for applications and systems to enable effective and efficient use of ICT facilities
• Maintain Local Area Network (LAN) components
• Maintain the Authority's website
• Provide expertise on procurement of ICT assets when required
• Document and implement an annual maintenance plan for all ICT assets within assigned areas

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Programming, Software Engineering, Business Information Technology, Statistics, or equivalent from a recognized institution
