## Title: HR Assistant
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join the HR department at Skills Geographic Kenya (SGK). The Human Resource Assistant will provide administrative and operational support in the HR department, ensuring efficient delivery of HR services in a dynamic engineering and contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in recruitment processes including job posting, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new employees
- Maintain accurate employee records, both digital and physical, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with labor laws
- Support payroll data preparation and leave management
- Assist in implementing HR policies, staff welfare programs, and disciplinary procedures
- Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and internal communication materials
- Support performance management and training coordination
- Handle day-to-day employee inquiries and provide administrative HR support
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (NSSF, NHIF, PAYE, etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1 to 2 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a busy or fast-paced office environment
- Experience in the engineering or construction sector is an added advantage
- Those with internship exposure for at least 1 year may also be considered
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with HR information systems
- Understanding of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices
Compensation
KShs. 30,000 - 35,000 plus company benefits
