Housekeeping Staff

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in patient wards, offices, common areas, and isolation rooms in line with hospital policies. - Ensure strict adherence to infection prevention and control procedures, especially within a mental health care setting. - Handle cleaning chemicals, equipment, and materials safely and responsibly. - Perform daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning schedules as assigned. - Properly collect, segregate, and dispose of waste in accordance with hospital and environmental guidelines. - Change bed linens, curtains, and other furnishings as per schedule or when required. - Promptly report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment to the supervisor. - Observe patient dignity, confidentiality, and safety at all times. - Support emergency cleaning needs and assist during inspections and audits. - Work collaboratively with nursing, clinical, and maintenance teams to ensure a supportive healing environment. - Any other duty as may be assigned. Skills: S: - Knowledge of infection control, hygiene standards, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals. - Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow instructions accurately. - Good communication skills and a compassionate, respectful attitude toward patients. - Physically fit KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - K.C.S.E certificate or equivalent qualification. - Certificate or training in housekeeping, hospitality - Prior experience in a hospital, mental health facility, or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
