Hospital Mechanical Engineer

Our client, a leading and reputable healthcare institution, is seeking a highly competent and experienced Hospital Mechanical Engineer to support the design, installation, and maintenance of critical hospital engineering systems. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical services within hospital facilities. - Ensure compliance with building codes, ASHRAE, and CIBSE standards. - Manage and maintain water supply, drainage, and pumping systems. - Supervise HVAC systems, including cold room installations and maintenance. - Oversee installation and maintenance of medical gas systems, sterilization equipment, and steam boilers. - Manage mechanical aspects of catering and laundry equipment within the facility. - Support tendering processes, contract administration, and vendor management. - Utilize engineering software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and DWG for design and documentation. Minimum Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering from a university recognized by the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK). - Minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience in design and installation of mechanical building services, preferably in hospitals, large commercial buildings, or industrial environments. - Strong knowledge of healthcare engineering systems and compliance standards. - Proficiency in engineering design software.
