Job description
## Title: Health Systems Strengthening Officer
Position Overview
This position reports to the Health Systems Strengthening Manager and is responsible for planning and conducting capacity-building activities to enhance the health systems of MEDS clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify training needs to inform the development of relevant and effective curricula
- Develop detailed facilitator lists and shortlist candidates against established recruitment and selection criteria
- Develop training materials and deliver training sessions to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
- Gather training needs for inclusion in the annual training program to support effective planning and organization
- Develop health training timetables for specific sessions to ensure timely and organized delivery
- Support resource mobilization and proposal writing to ensure sustainability of the section through the Project Management Unit (PMU)
- Coordinate training workshops and serve as a training facilitator where applicable
- Compile reports after each training session to provide insights for reference and informed decision-making
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:
- Health Sciences (Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Clinical Medicine & Surgery, BSc Medical Laboratory, or Bachelor of Public Health)
- Business-related field with demonstrated focus on resource mobilization and proposal writing, governance facilitation, customer care services, grants management compliance, and financial/operational management
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
