About the Role

An established company is recruiting for a Head of Internal Audit to lead a comprehensive internal audit function. In this role, you will drive high-quality, impactful audits while managing and developing a professional audit team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex audits and assign teams (including internal or external resources) to deliver high-quality outcomes focused on high-risk audit areas with significant impact on organizational performance and reputation
• Develop and share clear opinions on a broad range of risks and own audit outcomes, ensuring key lessons and insights are communicated to senior leadership and executive management
• Lead peers and junior team members, building strong relationships and rapport to foster effective collaboration
• Collaborate with senior management and audit committees to develop comprehensive, flexible audit plans using risk-based methodology
• Review, validate, and present corporate risks and priorities to audit committees for review and concurrence
• Design and implement comprehensive audit programs to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems and performance quality
• Examine and assess the company's system of internal controls and the quality of performance in assigned responsibilities
• Execute the audit plan, including special tasks or projects requested by management or audit committees
• Prepare periodic reports to management and audit committees detailing audit status, results, and resource requirements
• Manage, recruit, and develop professional audit staff with appropriate expertise and competencies
