Head of Internal Audit at Trident Insurance Company

About the Role

Trident Insurance Company is seeking an experienced Head of Internal Audit to lead the internal audit function and deliver high-quality, impactful audits across the organization. You will be responsible for developing audit strategy, leading complex audits, and providing strategic insights to senior leadership and audit committees.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead audits of high complexity, assigning internal and external resources to deliver quality outcomes focused on high-risk audit areas that may significantly impact the Group's performance and reputation
• Develop and articulate clear opinions on a broad range of risks and take ownership of audit outcomes, sharing key lessons and insights with executive leadership
• Lead and mentor audit teams at all levels, building strong relationships and rapport to drive effective collaboration
• Collaborate with senior management and audit committees to develop a comprehensive, flexible audit plan using risk-based methodology
• Review, validate, and present corporate risks and priorities to audit committees for review and approval
• Develop and implement a comprehensive audit program to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's system of internal controls
• Examine and assess the quality of performance in carrying out assigned responsibilities across the organization
• Execute the audit plan, including special tasks and projects as requested by management or audit committees
• Prepare periodic reports to management and audit committees on audit plan status, results, and departmental resource requirements
• Manage, recruit, and develop a professional audit staff with appropriate knowledge and expertise
