Head of Flight Operations

About the Role

748 Air Services (K) Ltd seeks an experienced and dedicated Head of Flight Operations to lead and manage all aspects of the company's flight operations in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage company activities in accordance with the Company Operations Manual and ensure all operations comply with KCAA approvals
• Provide overall direction and supervision of Flight Operations and develop policies governing these functions
• Ensure all operations under all company licenses and certificates are conducted in accordance with the Operations Manual and regulatory requirements
• Control operations and maintain operational standards for all aircraft operated by the company
• Identify and coordinate functions impacting operational control of aircraft, including maintenance, crew scheduling, load control, and equipment scheduling
• Supervise and organize the following departments:
  • Flight Operations
  • Cabin Safety
  • Crew Scheduling and Rostering
  • Training Programs
• Oversee comprehensive pilot training programs including simulator training, ground courses, and initial training
• Write, update, and supervise the production and amendment of the Company Operations Manual
• Ensure crew scheduling complies with flight and duty time regulations
• Keep crew members informed of changes to regulations and standards
• Liaise with regulatory authorities (KCAA) on all Flight Operations matters, including Air Operator Certificate (AOC) variations
• Liaise with external agencies that may affect operations
• Ensure operations are conducted in accordance with current regulations, standards, and company policy
• Receive and action aeronautical information affecting operations
