## Title: Head of Business Development – Nairobi

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement an annual Business Development Plan aligned with organizational mission and objectives
  • Identify new opportunities across commercial, digital, and donor-funded sectors
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to guide strategy

Revenue Growth & Sales Management

  • Lead and mentor sales teams across all SIFA FM stations
  • Create innovative advertising, sponsorship, and fundraising packages
  • Oversee sales performance, KPIs, digital monetization, and multi-platform revenue generation

Team Leadership & Culture Building

  • Build a strong, high-performance business development team
  • Facilitate planning, review, and strategy sessions

Financial Management & Risk Oversight

  • Manage departmental budgets and ensure revenue targets are met
  • Oversee contract management, revenue tracking, and financial reporting
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks

Reporting, Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare timely business, financial, and partnership reports
  • Ensure accurate documentation of contracts and sponsorships
  • Uphold organizational policies, ethical standards, and confidentiality

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Media Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in business development, sales, or partnerships
  • Proven success in media (radio, TV, digital)
  • Strong stakeholder management experience across corporates, NGOs, government, and donors
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and drive revenue growth
