Job description

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Accounting Officer for the Kenya Safari Lodges & Hotels Limited
  • Oversee the development of long-term strategies, plan and annual operating budget 
  • Drive operational excellence and profitability across all lodges and hotels.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and Prudent management of resources.
  • Foster collaboration and partnerships with key stakeholders in government, tourism, and the private sector.
  • Spearheading the development and implementation of Performance Management of KSLH.
  • Ensure compliance with all professional, ethical, legal and statutory requirements in theconduct of KSLH business.
  • Facilitating communication between the Board of Directors and Management
  • Lead business restructuring, innovation, and repositioning of the KSLH brand.
  • Advising the Board on all policies and strategies related to the mandate of the Kenya Safari Lodges & Hotels.
  • Develop and nurturing a team of highly motivated and talented human capital fostering a culture of excellence in performance.
  • Establishing proper internal monitoring and control systems and procedures, ensuring effective dissemination of services.
  • Oversee maintenance and compliance with Quality Management Systems
  • Provide regular, thorough, and prompt communication to the Board on key technical, financial and administrative matters.
  • Ensure safe custody of institutional assets
  • Maintain a positive organizational culture, values and reputations for KSLH in its markets and with all staff, customers, suppliers, partners and regulatory/ official boards.
Academic and Professional Qualification
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Strategic/Hotel/Hospitality Management or related,
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Strategic/Hotel/Hospitality Management or related,
  • Professional qualification,
  • Membership to a professional body,
  • Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks,
  • At least Fifteen (15) years’ work experience. With 5 years’ experience in senior management,
  • Fulfill the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
