Freelance Uzbek Translator at TransPerfect

About the Role

We are expanding our database of freelance translators to support the translation needs of our Marketing, Technical, and Retail clients. We are seeking a motivated professional to provide high-quality English to Uzbek translation services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide full post-editing and proofreading services
• Translate marketing, technical, and retail content (including consumer-facing guides)
• Maintain accuracy and consistency in all translated materials
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism

Required Qualifications

You must meet one of the following qualification requirements:

• A degree in translation, linguistics, or language studies (or equivalent degree with significant translation training) from a recognized institution of higher education; OR
• 2 years of translation experience combined with a college degree; OR
• 5 years of translation experience (degree not required); OR
• A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body

Required Skills & Experience

• Fluent in both English and Uzbek (Uzbekistan)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
• Specialized expertise in Marketing, Retail, and Technical subject matters
• Acute attention to detail, spelling, and grammar
• Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure and tight deadlines
