Position Overview
The Field Officer directly executes activities in the implementation of the 99GJQ project and prepares written materials and progress reports on field activities. The Field Officer ensures effective and timely completion of project activities, delivery of quality outputs, and achievement of outcomes with maximum impact for beneficiaries. This role reports directly to the Project Manager and works closely with the Community Mobilizer, serving as a liaison between the organization and project beneficiaries.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning
- Prepare work plans and time schedules for implementing project activities
- Support identification and selection of required project inputs, tools, and materials
- Support development of data collection tools for women and youth empowerment activities and livelihood interventions
- Identify and map stakeholders, value chains, and service providers within the project area
Project Implementation and Follow-up
- Facilitate formation of Self Help Groups (SHGs)
- Plan and conduct training for SHGs on leadership, gender empowerment, and financial inclusion
- Conduct Enterprise Capacity Assessment and provide coaching on value chains
- Explore feasibility of potential value chains based on local conditions, including natural resources, culture, traditions, trade routes, transport, infrastructure, existing markets, skills, and human capital
- Support market linkages and access to inclusive financial services for women's groups through exposure visits to Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) and other financial service providers and local demonstration sites across target communities
- Provide technical support to women to establish Self-Help Group revolving fund models that empower them to improve financial independence and resilience and develop capacity for self-investment
- Support development of simplified manuals in local languages as the basis for training
