Field Biomedical Technologists - Mt Kenya at Bliss Healthcare

Job Purpose

To install, train, adjust, maintain, repair, and provide technical support for medical equipment and other equipment assigned by your supervisor. This includes planned preventive maintenance, curative maintenance, and predictive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Address BME equipment breakdowns end-to-end
• Perform calibration and routine preventive maintenance on equipment including hematology analyzers, chemistry analyzers, electrolyte analyzers, nursing equipment, and radiology equipment
• Troubleshoot BME equipment to identify and diagnose faults
• Manage inventory for BME equipment at medical center level within your region
• Maintain BME equipment files at medical center level
• Install, uninstall, service, and repair BME equipment
• Provide technical support for BME equipment breakdowns
• Assist in orientation and training of new staff on BME equipment
• Prepare daily and monthly breakdown reports for the head of department
• Request replacement equipment as needed from the head of department

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical Engineering
• Membership with AMEK (Association of Medical Engineers Kenya)

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Biomedical Engineering experience
