## Title: Facilities and Property Manager

About the Role

As a Facilities and Property Manager at Kenya Builders & Concrete Co. Ltd, you will maintain and oversee the company's grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure that the workspace remains safe, functional, and compliant. You will be responsible for negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations, and coordinating renovations and updates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage facilities processes and utilities
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and obtain necessary permits
  • Manage health, safety, and environmental standards in buildings
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with service providers
  • Oversee repairs, maintenance, security, caretaking, and cleaning services
  • Manage energy consumption and optimize space usage
  • Handle insurance matters related to buildings and building works
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with tenants, landlords, and caretakers
  • Develop and monitor facilities budgets with cost control measures
  • Manage and lead a multi-skilled team
  • Coordinate renovations and facility updates
  • Produce regular reports according to agreed parameters and timelines

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Property Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Science, or Architecture
  • Certification in NEBOSH or IOSH
  • Membership in the International Facilities Management Association (IFMA), Kenya Property Developers Association (KPDA), or Institution of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar facilities management role within a medium to large organization
  • Proven line management responsibility for a multi-skilled team
