About the Role

KEDA Kenya Ceramics Company Limited, a leading manufacturer of high-quality ceramic tiles, is seeking a competent and motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to join our expanding team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring workplace safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate EHS risks
• Develop, implement, and update EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions
• Lead employee training and awareness programs on EHS best practices
• Prepare and submit EHS reports to management and regulatory bodies
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct periodic drills
• Continuously monitor and improve EHS performance metrics

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong understanding of EHS regulations, standards, and best practices
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently
