Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join National Bank of Kenya as an Enterprise Architect. Reporting to the ICT Architecture & Data Governance Manager, you will be responsible for developing IT information models (defined data structures, schemas, information types, and workflows) and related documentation for IT systems in use by or to be procured by the Bank.
You will develop and document a technology governance framework and set of standards to enable acquisition, development, and deployment of IT solutions and services that maximize interoperation, promote re-use, minimize duplication, optimize use of IT assets, reduce service incidents, and simplify the IT environment across the Bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate enterprise and customer requirements for the content and structure of information deliverables
- Document governance and innovation in data through identification and enablement of data capabilities across the enterprise
- Architect data solutions ensuring that solutions are built for performance, fault tolerance, and security with reusable patterns
- Propose data security measures and techniques and guide on their implementation
- Document end-to-end data lifecycle management activities and provide guidance
- Develop and maintain an enterprise architecture framework that drives technology and solutions development standards, providing common approaches for integration across enterprise applications, processes, and data
- Create architecture artifacts, frameworks, and patterns to be used as references by development teams across the organization
- Document processes and solutions, ensuring the defined Enterprise Architecture taxonomy is leveraged across the enterprise
- Research, analyze, and promote data standards for use across the enterprise
- Define technical standards in line with Bank policy, business processes, architecture, best practices, and industry standards and methods
