## Title: Engineering Coordinator
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Engineering Coordinator to support the smooth and efficient operations of our Engineering Department at Crowne Plaza Nairobi Airport Hotel. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who excels in administration, communication, and operational coordination, ensuring all engineering standards, safety protocols, and brand requirements are consistently upheld.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Administrative Coordination
- Oversee daily, monthly, and quarterly departmental reporting, ensuring accuracy, timely submission, and proper record-keeping
- Maintain secure and confidential records, including utilities data, audits, compliance reports, and staff files
- Coordinate departmental meetings, OSH meetings, Green Engage Committee obligations, and related compliance documentation in line with IHG standards
- Support Chief/Assistant Chief Engineer in monitoring grooming standards, departmental SOP adherence, and operational discipline
Maintenance & Workflow Support
- Track maintenance issues in guest and back-of-house areas, ensuring swift follow-up, closure, and feedback documentation
- Maintain and update departmental logs, checklists, and statutory compliance records
- Coordinate departmental training—both scheduled and impromptu—and track team participation
Procurement & Inventory
- Liaise with the procurement team to follow up on engineering materials, tools, and fuel deliveries
- Assist with stock control, ensuring sufficient supplies and accurate consumption records
Workforce Scheduling
- Manage staff schedules via EnQuest and align them with monthly duty rosters, ensuring updates and adjustments are logged
Financial Support
- Contribute to the preparation of departmental OPEX and CAPEX budgets
- Support strict control of inventory, tools, and operational materials
