Electrician (Term Contract) at Browns Plantations

Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team at Browns Plantations. You will be responsible for carrying out both industrial and domestic electrical installations, while ensuring proper use, repair, and care of all electrical and instrumentation tools and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

General Operations

• Ensure proper care of tools and assets through responsible use and accountability in accordance with company policies and guidelines
• Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and complete repairs in a timely manner
• Support implementation of electrical and instrumentation installations in the factory to optimize productivity and efficiency
• Maintain clear upward and downward communication with team members
• Report maintenance requirements to management

Domestic and Industrial Wiring and Installation

• Support cable structure design, cable tray installation, cable laying, and cable termination
• Perform electrical wiring and installation of lighting fixtures and other electrical equipment in the factory
• Diagnose and fix electrical problems including circuit breaker trips, RCCB failures, faulty wiring, and blown fuses
• Install and upgrade consumer units and earthing systems to ensure safety and regulatory compliance
• Conduct regular electrical safety checks and assessments, identify issues, and implement corrective actions
• Replace and upgrade damaged electrical systems
• Install electrical panels while observing all applicable standards, regulations, and supervisor instructions
• Properly terminate cables to equipment and panels
