Driver – TRA 10 (Five (5) Posts) at Tourism Regulatory Authority

About This Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join the Tourism Regulatory Authority as a Driver. You will be responsible for driving Authority vehicles and transporting authorized personnel for official purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive motor vehicles as authorized
• Carry out routine checks on assigned vehicles
• Maintain work tickets for vehicles assigned
• Ensure security and safety of vehicles on and off the road
• Ensure adherence to motor vehicle inspection schedules
• Report accidents timely and follow up on police abstracts
• Ensure safety of persons and/or goods in the vehicle
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• At least three (3) years' experience in the grade of Driver II or in a comparable position
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with a mean grade D (plain) or equivalent qualification
• Valid driving license free from any current endorsements and valid for the classes of vehicles or plants required
• Passed Occupational Trade Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or Ministry of Roads and Public Works
• First-Aid Refresher Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance, KIHBT, or any other recognized institution
• Passed Suitability Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology or Ministry of Roads and Public Works
• Defensive Driving Certificate
• Meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution
