Position Overview

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for the Driver I position. This role involves operating and maintaining motor vehicles while ensuring the safety of passengers, goods, and assets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive motor vehicles as authorized
• Conduct routine checks on vehicle cooling, oil, electrical, and brake systems, as well as tire pressure
• Detect and report malfunctions in vehicle systems
• Maintain work tickets for assigned vehicles
• Ensure security and safety of vehicles on and off the road
• Oversee the safety of passengers and/or goods in transit
• Maintain cleanliness of motor vehicles
• Prepare motor vehicle periodic reports

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum three (3) years of service in the grade of Driver II
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of D (plain) or equivalent qualification
• Valid driving license free from current endorsements and valid for the required vehicle classes
• Occupational Trade Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or recognized equivalent institution
• First Aid Refresher Certificate of at least one (1) week duration from St. John Ambulance, KIHBT, or other recognized institution
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from Kenya Police Service (DCI)
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
