## Title: Director General, Kenya Rural Roads Authority
Position Overview
This position offers a significant opportunity for career growth and leadership impact. Anchored in the Roads Act, 2007, the Director General is responsible to the Board of Directors for implementing the Authority's strategic goals and managing its resources. This role provides direction and leadership to achieve KeRRA's mission, develop strategy, and attain annual goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the operations and administrative functions of the Authority
- Develop policies and programmes for the Authority
- Manage funds and property of the Authority
- Manage and develop staff within the Authority
- Develop operations plans and programmes to achieve the Authority's objectives
- Cooperate with lead agencies and organizations locally and globally in the Road Sub-sector
- Develop economic, efficient, and cost-effective internal management structures
- Provide strategic leadership and vision by overseeing the formulation, implementation, and review of the Strategic Plan, business plan, and annual plan
- Enforce national values, principles of public service, leadership integrity, and code of conduct in accordance with Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya
- Oversee Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity Plan, and Disaster Recovery Plan while providing leadership in crisis management
- Enhance rapport between National Government, Parliament, County Government, and other stakeholders on matters relating to National Secondary Trunk Roads
- Ensure implementation of the Authority's policies, agreed objectives, performance targets, and service standards
- Provide advice to the Cabinet Secretary, Principal Secretary, and other stakeholders on all matters within the Authority's mandate
- Perform any other duties necessary as stipulated in relevant regulations
