Director Finance and Planning at St. Theresa’s Mission Hospital

About the Role

St. Theresa's Mission Hospital is expanding its team and seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Planning. In this role, you will manage all financial operations of the hospital, working closely with the Finance Manager and CEO. You will be responsible for tracking cash flow, preparing and reviewing budgets, monitoring operational metrics (KPIs), and analyzing financial performance to identify areas for improvement. Your strategic oversight will ensure the hospital's financial success through accurate forecasting, effective risk management, and sound financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily finance department activities and ensure all major projects, month-end, and year-end reports are completed accurately and on time
• Maintain accurate and complete financial records and participate in audits and reconciliations as needed
• Assist other departments in developing strategies, establishing objectives, and making decisions with financial implications
• Work closely with the CEO to establish an appropriate financial policy framework to guide decision-making regarding turnover, profit, costs, investment, and forward planning
• Oversee debt collection in the credit office and provide regular reports to the CEO
• Manage claims processing to maximize revenue realization and minimize claims rejection
• Continually review finance manuals and policy documents to ensure compliance with strategy and address current challenges
• Prepare accurate and up-to-date financial and management accounting information to support reliable reports, budgets, business plans, and management decisions
• Design and manage the implementation of financial systems and processes
