About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to support digital marketing graduates in launching their careers. As a Digital Marketing Graduates Placement Consultant, you will mentor emerging professionals and guide them toward sustainable employment and freelance opportunities.

Scope of Work

Graduate Job-Linkages

• Onboard an agreed-upon number of graduates for a 6-week apprenticeship program, providing mentorship and connecting them with gigs to kick-start their earning journey
• Support graduates in landing new jobs through job linkages, including shared contracts, subcontracting opportunities, and introductions to potential clients
• Develop a structured mentorship program to ensure graduates:
• Practice learned skills to meet industry standards
• Work on gigs under your guidance to achieve required standards
• Work independently on allocated gigs
• Learn how to find gigs independently
• Review portfolios and platform accounts to ensure alignment with graduate skills and market standards
• Provide continuous coaching and upskilling aligned with industry needs

Transition Month

• Mentor graduates over a 1-month transition period to acquire gigs independently and evaluate their work before client submission
• Provide complementary job linkages during the transition period to help graduates meet their earning targets
• Conduct follow-up and support sessions for graduates struggling to secure their first independent gig
• Create a structure for peer mentorship of upcoming cohorts

Monitoring and Reporting

• Develop a monitoring and reporting framework in collaboration with Generation Kenya to track graduate progress during the attachment period
• Provide biweekly updates on graduate progress using an agreed-upon template
• Participate in regular check-ins with the Generation Kenya team
• Collaborate with the Generation Kenya team to identify and address training quality issues and emerging challenges
