Job specifications For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: - Cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been in the grade of Assistant Director, Supply Chain Management or in a comparable position; - Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Procurement and Supplies Management, Procurement, Commerce (Supplies Management Option) Business Administration (Supplies Management option), or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; - Master’s Degree in Procurement, Purchasing and Supplies Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; - Member of Kenya Institute of Supplies Management or CIPS or CSCP and in good standing; - A valid practicing license from Kenya Institute of Supply Management; - Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; - Proficiency in computer applications; and - Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
