Overseeing the development of policies, regulations, guidelines andstrategy for fund management

Overseeing the development of the Scheme’s investment plans andstrategy;

Recommending to Trustees strategic investments opportunities;

Establishing linkages with strategic financial partners;

Regularly meeting with investment analysts and financial strategicpartners to discuss investment opportunities;

Providing leadership in analyzing business performance, industrytrends, existing or new regulatory requirements and their impact onbusinessoperations. (viii) Leading in Investment negotiations;

Ensuring investment portfolios are aligned with statutory guidelines andKNEST’s strategic objectives;

Ensure undertaking of Portfolio and Investment Research;

Advising the Trustees on investment options and opportunities;

Ensuring returns on investment

Coordinating acquisition and management of Scheme Investment withthe aim of increasing its value and assure best returns on investment;

Setting the criteria and conditions governing investment;

Aligning investment portfolio with KNEST ’s strategic objectives;

Ensuring maintenance of proper investment records for all securities

Ensuring preparation of all investment and periodic portfolioperformance reports

In liaison with the Fund Manager, ensure preparation and filing of all statutory reports

Managing and developing staff in the department.

Ensuring prudent utilization of the resources of the Corporation

Person Specifications For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

Served for a minimum period of ten (10) years, four (4) of whichshall be in a management role;

Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines; Commerce(Finance option), Finance, Economics, Business Management (Finance option) orequivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

Masters degree in any of the following disciplines; Commerce (FinanceOption) Finance, Economics, Business Administration (Finance Option)or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;

Passed Part III of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA K) examinationor equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
