Job Purpose

Spearhead the development and supervision of the implementation of policies, strategies, and guidelines on the management of Health Products and Technologies (HPT) for Syndemic diseases.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to support the development and implementation of policies, guidelines, and legal frameworks to guide the procurement and quality assurance of strategic commodities at both government levels
• Guide and oversee selection, forecasting, and quantification of health commodities for syndemic diseases to ensure rational and prudent use
• Coordinate pharmaceutical and laboratory monitoring of health commodities for syndemic diseases
• Analyze costing and expenditure of commodities for syndemic diseases and advise on sustainability and cost-effectiveness
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to promote local manufacturing of commodities for syndemic diseases
• Undertake and collaborate in research, design, and development of commodities for syndemic diseases control programmes
• Provide technical support and guidance at all levels of government and administration to strengthen supply chain security
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and review reference pricing for strategic commodities
• Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the development and use of an integrated logistical management information system for strategic commodities across the country
• Support the mobilization and coordination of relevant stakeholders involved in strategic commodities for syndemic diseases control programmes
• Support the design and development of appropriate mechanisms and tools for monitoring and evaluation of strategic commodities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Economics, or related field
