Cybersecurity Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Cybersecurity Manager to implement, upgrade, and monitor cybersecurity plans, infrastructure, and systems in line with IT security policies and procedures. This role ensures effective protection and security of bank systems, business data, and customer information while maintaining business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement plans and actions ensuring the Bank's adherence to Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) regulatory requirements for cybersecurity oversight
• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity plans, systems, and procedures to secure the Bank's ICT infrastructure and systems
• Implement and monitor IT cybersecurity standards for ICT devices and systems to ensure infrastructure protection, health, and system uptime
• Implement and monitor IT cybersecurity standards pertaining to business systems and user management, including access control, authentication, and systems action logging
• Identify, respond to, and report cybersecurity attacks, unauthorized access attempts, and implement continuous protection measures
• Perform risk assessments and execute security tests to sustain and maintain cybersecurity standards for ICT infrastructure and systems; implement corrective actions as needed
• Ensure compliance with Bank policies, procedures, regulatory standards, and guidelines
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business, or related field from a recognized university
• Five (5) years of experience in an IT environment within the financial or telecommunications industry
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Cybersecurity Management
• Cybersecurity Security Standards/Management Certification related to current technologies
• Project management certification
• Leadership and management skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification
• Professional banking courses
