Position Overview

The jobholder is responsible for supporting the maintenance of a quality lending portfolio in respect to loan and advances contracting, loan disbursements, risk monitoring and control of the risk asset book. This role handles disbursement of credit facilities and maintenance of overdraft limits in the core-banking system while ensuring absolute data integrity. The data captured forms a strong basis for portfolio and financial performance analyses. The jobholder also manages loan repayment requests, rescheduling and other credit-related processes and queries.

Documentation Responsibilities

• Review loan documents and liaise with internal and external parties to ensure proper and efficient delivery of credit administration duties
• Ensure that all conditions precedent for credit facilities are in place and obtain necessary deferrals/waivers from Management Credit Committee prior to signing off for disbursement of all credit facilities
• Ensure post-disbursement compliance with approved terms and conditions, assignment of rights, review expiry of credits, progress payment insurance, etc.
• Prepare Letters of Offers and other letters prior to issuance to clients, Business Managers, and Relationship Managers
• Follow up with Business Units and branches to ensure that all requirements advised in offer letters and credit application approvals are satisfied
• Monitor all irregularities, past dues, documentation deficiencies, and report to Executive Management and Management Credit Committee
• Support segregation of all credit files into their various compartments and maintain alpha-numeric filing system

Securities Responsibilities

• Support the maintenance of the Master folder for all securities held by the Bank
• Facilitate updates of the securities register and security release register
• Ensure a robust process for safe custody with dual control access for securities
• Follow up on logbooks forwarded for joint registration
