## Title: County Executive Committee Member – Tourism, Culture, Sports and Arts
About the Position
Siaya County Government is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to serve as a County Executive Committee Member responsible for Tourism, Culture, Sports and Arts. This is a strategic leadership role providing oversight of policy formulation and service delivery within the portfolio.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership in policy formulation and service delivery
- Promote good governance, transparency, and accountability
- Supervise the administration and delivery of services in respective departments and all decentralized units and agencies within the County
- Implement County legislation and policies
- Implement National and County legislation as required
- Manage and coordinate the functions of the County administration and its departments
- Provide the County Assembly with full and regular reports on matters relating to the County
- Advise the Governor on matters within the area of jurisdiction
Required Qualifications
- Kenyan citizen
- Bachelor's degree from a university recognized in Kenya
- Master's degree (advantageous)
- Registered professional where applicable to the portfolio
- Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in the field
- Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
Required Skills and Competencies
- Visionary and strategic leadership capabilities
- Knowledge of the Constitution of Kenya and devolution laws
- Understanding of County diversity, challenges, and opportunities
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity
- Capacity to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Team player committed to achieving County Government vision
Additional Requirements
- Must not hold any other State or Public Office

- Serve during the tenure of the Governor
- Remuneration and benefits as prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission
