County Executive Committee Member - Tourism, Culture, Sports and Arts

About the Position

Siaya County Government is seeking a qualified and experienced professional to serve as a County Executive Committee Member responsible for Tourism, Culture, Sports and Arts. This is a strategic leadership role providing oversight of policy formulation and service delivery within the portfolio.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership in policy formulation and service delivery
• Promote good governance, transparency, and accountability
• Supervise the administration and delivery of services in respective departments and all decentralized units and agencies within the County
• Implement County legislation and policies
• Implement National and County legislation as required
• Manage and coordinate the functions of the County administration and its departments
• Provide the County Assembly with full and regular reports on matters relating to the County
• Advise the Governor on matters within the area of jurisdiction

Required Qualifications

• Kenyan citizen
• Bachelor's degree from a university recognized in Kenya
• Master's degree (advantageous)
• Registered professional where applicable to the portfolio
• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in the field
• Compliance with Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya

• Must not hold any other State or Public Office

• Serve during the tenure of the Governor
• Remuneration and benefits as prescribed by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission
