About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Country Manager to oversee operations, strategy, and business development for our pharmaceutical and global brands portfolio in Kenya. This position is responsible for driving growth and profitability for Aspen Sub-Saharan Africa through strategic planning, market analysis, relationship building, and collaboration with the sales team to create and implement effective business development strategies.
This role requires a proactive approach, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to develop and execute effective business strategies in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee company operations and business development within Kenya
- Lead strategic planning and market analysis initiatives
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement business development strategies
- Manage the sales team effectively
- Drive growth and profitability of pharmaceutical prescription-oriented and global products
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science (Master's degree is an advantage)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager, preferably in the healthcare industry
- Proven track record of driving business growth and forming strategic partnerships
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
- Familiarity with the healthcare landscape and cultural diversity in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical sales strategies and key opinion leader (KOL) management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to address complex issues and develop innovative solutions in a dynamic environment
