Counseling Psychology- Lecturer at Africa Nazarene University (ANU)

About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and seeking talented faculty to join Africa Nazarene University (ANU) in Nairobi, Kenya. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality counseling psychology education and research.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience at university level as a lecturer, OR five (5) years of research/industry experience with a proven track record of securing research funds
• Minimum twenty-four (24) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, with at least sixteen (16) from refereed scholarly journals
• Demonstrated teaching skills as evidenced by student evaluations and peer reviews
• Proficiency with online teaching and digital pedagogy

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated success in major non-teaching responsibilities at a university or other reputable organization

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of high-quality curriculum
• Review curriculum and course outlines; develop course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ various teaching methods including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities to enhance student learning
• Develop learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate students, graduate students, internship, and research work
• Participate in departmental research and conduct research in specialist areas; publish findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
• Advise students on academic, career, and related matters
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and industrial linkage activities as required
• Participate in departmental administrative and field operations and programs
