Role Overview - The Cook prepares nutritious, balanced meals for students and staff while upholding high standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality. The role ensures timely meal service and supports the overall well-being of the school community. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and cook daily meals according to the school menu and nutrition guidelines. - Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized kitchen at all times. - Ensure proper food handling, storage, and safety practices. - Manage kitchen supplies, inventory, and daily meal ingredients. - Serve meals on time and ensure portions meet required standards. - Support a positive and welcoming dining environment for students and staff. Requirements - Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a school or institutional setting. - Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and proper food handling. - Ability to maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment. - Good time management and ability to work efficiently during busy meal periods. - Being a Light Academy parent is an added advantage Check how your CV aligns with this job
