Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at AAR Hospital

Position Overview

We are seeking a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist to join our dynamic team. The overall purpose of this role is to manage patients requiring obstetrics and gynaecology care across outpatient and inpatient departments, ensuring the delivery of quality and safe services to all disciplines requiring obstetrics and gynaecology care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessment, treatment, and stabilization, performing specialized procedures to provide curative services in line with established protocols
• Provide clinical support during emergencies, including resuscitation, and manage patient admission, discharge, or referral to appropriate consultants and units
• Promote patient-centered care across all clinical activities
• Participate in the development and implementation of quality assessment plans to ensure continuous improvement of departmental services
• Ensure appropriate clinical documentation is completed and maintained
• Contribute to the departmental clinical quality assurance system, including regular clinical audits and reviews of patient care metrics (length of stay, mortality and morbidity reviews)
• Participate in regular clinical meetings to ensure quality of services provided
• Assist in planning and setting priorities for the obstetrics and gynaecology department through quality improvement and patient safety activities
• Review clinical-related patient complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution with appropriate corrective and preventive action
• Work collaboratively with established consultants to ensure equitable provision of obstetrics and gynaecology services
• Actively participate in research and development initiatives and create awareness of hospital research programs at the forefront of science in patient care
