About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join Riara University as a Computer Science Lecturer. You will play a key role in advancing academic excellence through teaching, research, and community engagement.

Teaching and Mentorship

• Lead the development of demand-driven course materials and supervise teaching, assessment of programs/units allocated, and guide research initiatives
• Work closely with the Dean and team members to develop and enhance curriculum delivery through various modes including blended learning, online learning, and face-to-face instruction
• Teach and mentor both undergraduate and postgraduate students
• Deliver instructor-led sessions, monitor student progress, and provide support and guidance to help students gain competence in the units taught
• Assist the School in identifying, developing, and implementing marketing strategies and activities for academic programmes
• Actively participate in curriculum development and review activities

Research and Scholarship

• Conduct research aimed at producing cutting-edge innovations and publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and books
• Forge partnerships with universities and other relevant stakeholders for research and innovation activities
• Provide guidance and assistance to students and teaching faculty in developing their capacity for teaching and research
• Identify research and scholarship opportunities and actively participate in developing funding proposals
• Develop partnerships for securing social and monetary resources to conduct research
• Guide and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students in project papers and research
• Foster a culture of research within the School and expose staff to useful networks inside and outside the university

Community Engagement

• Contribute to mentorship and supervision of students undergoing internship and community service
• Identify opportunities for student participation, including student-led workshops, seminars, and hackathons
