About the Role
The Community Outreach Officer will play a key role in driving growth of CIC Microinsurance by generating new business, engaging communities and institutions, and promoting microinsurance products within assigned regions and sectors. This position involves lead generation, relationship management, client education, and ensuring efficient service delivery in collaboration with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and recruit new clients and intermediaries (cooperatives, MFIs, registered groups, and bancassurance partners) while reactivating dormant accounts and expanding outreach channels
- Conduct community sensitization, product presentations, and trainings for clients and intermediaries to drive awareness and product uptake
- Prepare proposals and quotations, follow up on leads, and track sales pipelines
- Collaborate with underwriting and customer service teams to ensure smooth client onboarding
- Gather and share insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to support continuous product improvement
- Consistently achieve individual and team sales targets while upholding brand values, customer satisfaction, and policy persistency
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Diploma in a business-related field
- Age 25 years and above
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Professional qualifications in Insurance (COP/ECOP/Diploma in Insurance – AIIK/CII/LOMA)
- Proven experience in community engagement, sales, or field mobilization

Compensation
