## Title: Community Development Professor

About the Role

Africa Nazarene University (ANU) is seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Development Professor to join our expanding academic team. This is a full professor position based in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and implement high-quality curriculum in community development
  • Review and develop curriculum, course outlines, and lesson plans
  • Prepare contact and online course materials and teaching aids
  • Employ diverse teaching methods including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities to facilitate student learning
  • Develop and implement learning assessment plans
  • Supervise and guide undergraduate and graduate students, as well as internship and research work
  • Conduct research in specialist areas and publish findings in professional journals, books, and electronic media
  • Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
  • Advise students on academic, career, and related matters
  • Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and participate in industrial linkages and market outreach visits as required
  • Participate in departmental administrative, field operations, and academic programs

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as an Associate Professor
  • Minimum of sixty (60) publication points as an Associate Professor or equivalent, with at least forty (40) points from refereed scholarly journals
  • Demonstrated national, regional, and international recognition for research
  • Supervision of at least five (5) postgraduate students to completion, including at least two (2) doctoral students
  • Track record of attracting research funds as an Associate Professor or equivalent
