About the Position

Africa Nazarene University is seeking a dynamic Community Development Professor to join our expanding academic team. This is an opportunity to contribute to high-quality education while advancing research in your specialist area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement high-quality curriculum in community development
• Review and develop curriculum and course outlines, including course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ diverse teaching methods including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities to enhance student learning
• Develop and implement learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate students, graduate students, internship placements, and research work
• Conduct research in specialist areas and publish findings in professional journals, books, and electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
• Advise students on academic, career, and related matters
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and participate in industrial linkages and market outreach activities
• Participate in departmental administrative operations and programs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of teaching experience at university level as an Associate Professor
• Minimum sixty (60) publication points as an Associate Professor or equivalent, with at least forty (40) points from refereed scholarly journals
• Demonstrated national, regional, and international recognition for research
• Supervised at least five (5) postgraduate students to completion, including at least two (2) doctoral students
• Proven track record of attracting research funds as an Associate Professor or equivalent
