Africa Nazarene University (ANU) is seeking a qualified Community Development Lecturer to join our academic team in Nairobi, Kenya. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality education while advancing research and community engagement in your specialist area.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement high-quality curriculum in community development
• Review curriculum and course outlines, and develop comprehensive course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ various teaching methods including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities to enhance student learning
• Develop and implement learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate students, graduate students, internship placements, and research work
• Conduct research in specialist areas and publish findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and collaborative research initiatives
• Advise students on academic, career, and related issues
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and participate in industrial linkages and market outreach visits
• Contribute to departmental administrative operations, field operations, and programs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at university level as a lecturer, OR five (5) years of research/industry experience with a demonstrated track record of securing research funds
• Minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, with at least sixteen (16) points from refereed scholarly journals
